Three years ago the celebration of the feast day of St. Matthew, on the 21st of September, was renewed. At the initiative of the Youth Association St. Matthew Cere and the Parish, with the support of fellow locals, entrepreneurs and the Cere Folklore Society, the festivity received a humanitarian character. Holy Mass is celebrated on the 21st of September and during the weekend people from Cere organize a concert during which money is being donated for people in need. For their engagement and selflessness, the young people from Cere received municipal recognition at the Municipal Council’s formal session on the occasion of Žminj Municipality Day, on the 29th of September 2019.
