The cave is situated in the very heart of Istria, in a village named Feštini, near Žminj. Upon entering the cave, first you hear the harmonious sound of drops which slowly form magnificent underground jewellery reflected in the lakes below.
The interior of the cave can be reached with the help of around 100 metres long safe paths. The cave abounds in wonderful dripstone forms, among which it is easy to recognize 'Magician's Hat', 'Tower of Babylon' and huge 'Bat Wings' strangely covered with grapevine that gets its water from the bottom of the cave. The tour lasts for about 30 minutes after which you can explore the beautiful scenery outside.
Next to the entrance to the cave is a stunning and spacious lawn, offering various activities for both children and adults: mini farm, field perfect for football, running or cycling, bar with refreshments, sandpit and a lookout. The family that owns the property is also known for wonderful handmade wooden statues, such as the famous Mickey Mouse and Pinocchio. There is also a wooden train along with a true Istrian miniature barn, a plane and even a hedgehog house.
“Feštinsko kraljevstvo” regularly hosts participants in numerous races, where the lawn in front of the cave serves as a perfect place for refreshment. The cave is an indispensable part of Žminj’s tourist offer.
