This meeting is not of a competitive type and the only rewards are the applause of the audience, which is always abundant in Žminj. On that day, polkas, waltzes and baluns can be heard behind the Castle. It is customary for the concert to be opened by a local player, and the end is left to the debutantes. Since most musicians have the status of 'local stars' and are frequent guests at weddings and parties, the audience usually welcomes them with applause and thunderous ovations.
The end of the official part of the program is marked by a joint concert of about forty accordions, as many as there are usually, but this by no means marks the end of the party, which continues well into the night with local songs and music.
