(Temporary ban or) restriction on crossing the border of the Republic of Croatia
The Civil Protection Headquarters made a Decision on a temporary ban or restriction on crossing the border of the Republic of Croatia.
Passengers coming from green areas of the EU, given the incidence of Covid-19, do not need a PCR test and they don’t need to fulfil additional conditions for entry into the Republic of Croatia. All other passengers coming from the EU should present a negative PCR test that isn’t older than 48 hours or take a PCR test upon arrival in Croatia and be in self-isolation while waiting for the test results.
There is also exception for categories of persons who do not have to take a negative test, such as border health workers, pupils, students and interns who travel daily, provided they do not stay in Croatia or outside Croatia for more than 12 hours.
Without testing and self-isolation, entry is allowed for seafarers, workers in the transport sector and transport service providers, diplomats, staff of international organizations, persons traveling for urgent family or business reasons, journalists, passengers in transit, with the obligation to leave Croatia within 12 hours from entry and to patients traveling for necessary medical reasons.
Third-country nationals coming from areas outside the European Union, including neighbouring countries, cannot cross the border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, except in the case of a few exceptions, some of which include the possession of a negative PCR test.
Citizens of the European Union who come from non-Union areas, including neighbouring countries, can cross the border crossings of the Republic of Croatia with a negative PCR test, with the exception of health and border workers, pupils and students.
